If my summer could be summed up in a list of emojis, it would be: 🌊 🏖 🍦👙💦👓🙌 🚴 🏊 🤗… That and a group of great people, a great vibe and some good, refreshing food and drink.
One ultimate summer mood-maker has to be a good smoothie, below are two recipes I’ve made at home (they’re both super easy and delicious!). Enjoy!
1. Banana & Peanut butter smoothie:
•1 whole banana (ripe)
•1 heaped tablespoon of peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
•1 teaspoon of cocoa powder (+some cinnamon = optional)
•some milk (the amount you use can vary depending on how thick or runny you like your smoothie (I usually use about 250ml)
•2 tablespoons of plain, full cream yoghurt
• cut your banana into slices 🍌
•add the banana to your blender along with all the other ingredients
•whizz it all up and taste test (if you need more peanut butter flavour, etc. feel free to add accordingly)
2. Mixed berry & banana smoothie:
• 1 whole banana (ripe)
• some Sir mixed berries juice
• 2 tablespoons of plain, full cream yoghurt
• mixed berries (if you happen to have them in the house)
•cut your banana into slices 🍌
•add it to your blender along with all other ingredients
•whizz it up and taste test (adjust according to your preference)
P.S: you can add ice to the above for an extra-fresh summer kick!
